Welcome back to coreWEEKLY, your go-to guide for working smarter, not harder, in retail. This week, we’re diving into how to use Action Plans to convert a single purchase into a sustained relationship with a customer.

The corePOW tip of the week is all about turning any spare device into an interactive Intelligent Customer Display for a faster checkout experience. Then, our Help Desk guide covers mastering coreSTORE inventory management for accessory, serialized, and series items. Plus, registration is open for both coreBLAST Episode 17 and our live walkthrough with Action Target. Let’s dive right in!

One Purchase Should Never Be the End of the Customer Journey

Some software platforms call them automations. That word is accurate enough, but it can also make the whole thing feel colder than it really is. When most people hear “automation,” they think about a system firing off emails in the background, moving contacts from one list to another, or doing some technical task that saves a little time. That has value, but for a firearms retailer, the real opportunity is much bigger than saving a few clicks.

An Action Plan is different in the way a retailer should think about it. The point is to create a planned response based on what a customer actually does. A customer buys a firearm, signs up for a class, visits the range, purchases accessories, asks about concealed carry, or shows interest in home defense. Each of those actions tells the retailer something. The customer is raising their hand, whether they realize it or not, and the store now has a chance to guide them into the next logical step.

💡 corePOW:
Coreware’s Intelligent Customer Display

Coreware’s customer display is not just another screen sitting next to the register. In this quick corePOW update, Ezra shows how retailers can turn almost any device into an intelligent customer display, including a second monitor, tablet, touchscreen device, or even a phone.

For firearms retailers and retail businesses using Coreware, this feature helps create a faster, cleaner, and more connected checkout experience. As items are added at the point of sale, the customer display updates in real time. Even better, customers can interact directly with the display to sign in, confirm their information, and make sure their purchase is attached to the correct customer account.
